DAY 1: SINGAPORE – BANGKOK – LUANG PRBANG (Lunch)
Royal Palace Museum
Once the Lao’s Royal Palace, the museum hosts various interesting historical items. Every piece comes with a story.
Wat Xieng Thong
Otherwise known as the “Temple of the Golden City”, the 16th century Buddhist temple is renowned for its royal heritage, intricate architecture, and spiritual significance.
Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham
The largest and most historically significant Buddhist Temple.
Old Town
Explore the centuries old royal capital. The Unesco Old Town is celebrated for its remarkably well-preserved urban landscape, blending traditional Lao wooden houses, gilded wats, and French colonial villas.
Sunset at Mt Phousi
Climb to the top of Mt Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the scared, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset over the Mekong River.
Night Market
The night market is fun to visit and a good place to buy arts, crafts, and stock up on souvenirs and gifts.
DAY 2: NORTH OF LUANG PRANG MEKONG RIVER CRUISE & PAK OU CAVES (Breakfast / Lunch)
Mekong River Cruise
Take a boat ride to Pak Ou Caves, taking in the picturesque view of the Mekong River passing through forested limestone hills, riverside villages.
Pak Ou Caves
Pak Ou Caves consist of two sacred linked caves – Tham Ting and Tham Theung, housing approximately 4,000 Buddha statues of various sizes, shapes, and materials, with some of centuries old left by pilgrims. While the first cave is accessible via a steep staircase from the river, the second cave is deeper inside the cliff.
Ban Xang Hai
Stop at Ban Xang Hai or Whisky Village for some Lao Lao rice whisky and handmade souvenirs like scarves and bracelets.
Ban Xang Khong
See artisans at work, creating handwoven textiles and intricate paper products. The village is also known for its bamboo bridges, providing scenic views and a unique way to explore the sea. Return to Luang Prabang by boat.
DAY 3: SOUTH OF LUANG PRABANG KUANG SI WATERFALL (Breakfast / Lunch)
Kuang Si Waterfalls
The stunning multi-tiered waterfall near Luang Prabang, is famous for its turquoise pools and lush jungle setting. Visitors may swim in the designated pools.
Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre
Home to 20 Asiatic black bears, it serves as both a sanctuary and an educational centre. In the enclosure are swings, hammocks and climbing frames to keep them entertained. Visitors can also get a good view of the bears from the observation deck.
Ban Na Ouan Village
Walk into the Hmong village of Ban Na Ouan. Be greeted with the authentic atmosphere of Hmong culture – wooden houses lining the hillside, colourful traditional costumes along with the warm smiles of the villagers welcoming its visitor.
DAY 4: LUANG PRABANG

Alms Giving Ceremony
Rise early to witness the centuries old Buddhist tradition of Tak Bat or Sai Bat dates to the 14th century. Monks walk barefoot through the streets at sunrise to receive offerings from locals, symbolizing a spiritual exchange of merit and sustenance.
Morning Market
Join the locals at the lively morning market where they shop for their daily groceries, meal, poultry, fresh vegetables. It is also known for its unique offerings including bats, serpents, grilled insects etc.
Traditional Lao Cooking Class
Begin with selection of the dish, purchasing the ingredients with your guide to finally hands on cooking your own traditional Lao dish.
Rice farming experience at Living Land Farm
Immerse in traditional Lao rice farming methods. Learn about ancient rice harvesting and planting methods, threshing, winnowing rice. Go on a guided tour of the farm, try your hand at various farm activities like ploughing rice paddies and watch buffaloes at work. Note: Activities may differ due to season
Ban Chan Pottery Village
Watch pots being handthrown and fired in old ovens, learn the storey of pottery in Laos, its role in daily life and how jars are made.
Ban Xieng Maen
Ban Xieng Maen – serene riverside community, offers its visitors a glimpse into the Lao village life. Explore the ancient temples, traditional wooden houses and viewpoints overlooking the Mekong River.
DAY 5: LUANG PRABANG – BANGKOK – SINGAPORE (Breakfast)
